Speaking IN® was developed by Laurin Mooney, a nurse seeking a remedy for the tragedy of patient harm.
This motivated her to innovate a new strategy called speaking IN® that aligns our thinking and actions with how the modern workplace and people actually function. The goal of speaking IN is to re-orient to our purpose, value people, and create an environment where everybody knows it’s always safe, worthwhile, and even necessary to share their questions, concerns and ideas.
Studying modern safety science and complexity theory convinced her safety and reliability are inextricably related to a healthy employee experience. It became apparent the “speak up” strategy provides a weak, and flawed foundation for safety, employee experience, and operational excellence.

We’ll help you translate knowledge into action. You’ll understand why your current strategies are insufficient while being supported to make the leadership shifts you need.
